Campus Activity Board (CAB) Returns for the Winter Term

The Campus Activity Board (CAB) is welcoming students back with a full lineup of social events for the winter term. All CAB programs are free, accessible and provide the opportunity to meet new friends and win prizes. This month, join CAB for Paint Night (Wednesday, January 21) and the inaugural Talent Showcase (Wednesday, January 28). Important Dates

Friday, January 23 to Sunday, February 1, 2026: Full fall and late fall term deferred examinations will be held.

 

Having Fun and Staying Safe at Capital Hoops 2026

The biggest university basketball game in Canadian university sports, Capital Hoops, is taking over the Arena at TD Place on Friday, February 6, 2026. Be there for the finale of the Rivalry Series when Carleton's basketball teams clash with the uOttawa Gee-Gees. Tickets are available to purchase on the TD Place website.

P9 Green Space Design Competition

Reimagine your campus! Facilities Management and Planning invites all Carleton students to join the P9 Green Space Design Competition. Shape the future of a vibrant outdoor community hub that celebrates accessibility, sustainability and belonging. Register for the virtual info session on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from noon to 1:00 p.m. to learn how to form teams, understand what the judges are looking for and get tips for designing an inclusive outdoor space.

Submissions are due Friday, February 6, 2026.

Supporting your mental health and wellness is an important part of navigating these challenges. Carleton students have access to a range of mental health and wellness resources at all times.

 

“How to…” Drop-in Sessions – No Appointment? No Problem!

The Centre for Student Academic Support's (CSAS) “How to…” drop-in sessions are now available Tuesdays to Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in-person at the CSAS office on the fourth floor of MacOdrum Library. Stop by to ask any learning- or writing-related questions or email csas@carleton.ca.

 

Campus Safety Services is Hiring Students

Campus Safety Services is now accepting applications for Student Safety Patroller positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role involves security duties and a chance to engage with the campus community. Submit your application by Saturday, February 28, 2026.

 

Co-Curricular Record

The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is a way to record your involvement in student leadership, development, extracurricular activities and community service opportunities at Carleton University. The CCR is official documentation which can be shared with prospective employers and graduate schools to showcase your experiential learning involvement.

 

Changing Your Program Elements

Looking to make changes to your degree, such as adding a minor or switching to another discipline? Changes can be made through the Change of Program Elements page in Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360).

Before you submit the request, check in with either an advisor in the Academic Advising Centre or with your academic department to ensure that you are eligible to make the change you are requesting.

In-Person Mini-Courses on AI Usage at the MacOdrum Library

This winter, the MacOdrum Library is offering three in-person mini-courses designed to help students navigate the ever-changing landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and understand their responsible use in an academic environment.
