Parents newsletter - June 2025Summer is well underway at Carleton! In June, students enrolled in early summer courses are wrapping up final assignments and preparing for exams, while students enrolled in full summer courses are settling into midterms. Important Dates and Deadlines Tuesday, June 17, 2025: Last day of early summer classes. Wednesday, June 18, 2025: Final summer term payment deadline. Friday, June 20 to Thursday, June 26, 2025: Final examinations in early summer courses and midterm examinations in full summer courses will be held. Tuesday, July 1, 2025: Statutory holiday. University closed.
Celebrating Convocation with the Class of 2025 Carleton University will celebrate the accomplishments of 2025 graduates with in-person convocation ceremonies from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20, 2025. The complete ceremony schedule, along with information for graduates, is available on the Convocation website. National Indigenous History Month During National Indigenous History Month, Carleton is celebrating the rich and diverse cultures, voices and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who are positively impacting the world. Pride Month June is Pride Month, another opportunity to celebrate and support Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer members of the Carleton community. Early Summer Final & Full Summer Midterm Schedule Available The early summer 2025 final and full summer 2025 midterm schedule is now available. Students can find the schedule on the Scheduling and Examination Services website, through their Carleton360 account (log in through the Current Students website) and the Carleton Mobile app. Final and midterm examinations run Friday, June 20 to Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Fall/Winter 2025-2026 The fall/winter 2025-2026 class schedule and registration course planning tool is available in Carleton Central (access by logging into Carleton360). Fall/winter course registration begins based on pre-assigned timetickets for new first-year students on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, and for returning students on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Your student’s timeticket will be available in Carleton Central on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Student Registration Assistance Team How to Be a University Student: Practical Tools for a Successful Transition The first year of university brings exciting opportunities - and real challenges. Many students arrive on campus unsure of what’s expected or how to manage the increased independence, academic workload and social change. To help ease that transition, Carleton offers Academic Prep: How to Be a University Student, a non-credit, one-week summer course designed to build the habits, skills and confidence to support a successful first year. It’s a practical way for students to begin their journey with clarity and confidence.
