Click here Staff Update: Further positive COVID-19 cases identified at Calvary The BrelsfordDate: 18 January 2022 To: All Staff – Calvary The Brelsford From: Bryan McLoughlin, Regional CEO – NSW & QLD I am writing to inform you that an additional twelve (12) residents and seven (7) members of staff have tested positive for COVID-19 at Calvary The Brelsford. One of the additional positive residents resides in Pearl unit (2). In line with Public Health Unit advice, all Pearl unit residents are now in isolation. The current number of positive residents in Emerald unit is now fifteen (15). No further positive cases have been identified in Sapphire which remains at five (5) positive cases. Ruby remains free of positive cases. All residents and staff have been RAT tested today. Those who have tested positive have immediately been PCR tested. Given the ongoing high demand for community testing, we are not able confirm a timeframe for when we will receive results. We are in contact with the families of the COVID positive residents and are keeping them informed. Please see updated detail below regarding resident’s movement within the home:
The Brelsford remains closed to all visitors. Visitor exceptions may be made for end of life visits. Am I safe to come to work? You are safe to continue to provide resident care because you are trained and prepared for exposures. Your training means you will know how to provide resident care safely by following our strict infection prevention and control procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
