WELCOME TO OUR NEW GROUNDS PERSON LISA!

Equestrian WA is delighted to welcome Lisa Peary as our new Grounds Person at the State Equestrian Centre.

Lisa brings a wealth of experience to the role garnered across multiple sectors, including time spent in a similar role with Mohegan Equestrian.

With the 24/7/365 nature of operating and managing the SEC, Lisa’s addition is valuable in enabling us to continue delivering the best experience to our members and the broader equestrian community.

Lisa joins SEC Coordinator Nerissa, fellow Grounds Person Ronald and caretaker Danny as part of the SEC Team.

On behalf of the equestrian community in WA, we welcome Lisa to the role. Our members will no doubt have many opportunities to meet and engage with Lisa in the future.

COMPETITIVE EDGE SEMINAR WITH WARREN KENNAUGH

Recently Competitive Edge held a Zoom seminar for all Equestrian WA High Performance squads featuring Executive Performance Coach Warren Kennaugh.

For those of you who are unaware - Competitive Edge is a program that delivers off-horse content that focuses on developing emerging equestrian talent with a view to sustaining longevity and success at the highest level of our sport.

Warren specialises in the development of executive and professional elite athlete performance capability. He has been involved at the elite levels of Equestrian, Rugby Union, Golf, Cricket, Equestrian, and Rugby League.

The main focus of the seminar was competition mindset, with a key theme being how athtletes can best respond to making errors or mistakes during a sporting event without it affecting their overall performance.

Warren strongly recommends the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. If you are interested in finding out more about Warren's work visit his website, where you can also access his blog and listen to his podcasts.
