Overnight closures this month between Warkworth and Wellsford

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists of overnight closures planned through Dome Valley this month to complete line marking and maintenance works including storm clean up, median barrier repairs and street light installation.

There will be a full road closure (weather dependent) between 8pm and 5am on the nights of:

• Wednesday 8 February and Thursday 9 February
• Sunday 12 February through to Thursday 16 February
• Sunday 19 February through to Thursday 23 February

These works are being co-ordinated alongside closures for road surfacing works for the Ara Tūhono – Pūhoi to Warkworth motorway project with both teams working together to get as much work done as possible during the closures.

Journey planning

While the night work takes place, State Highway 1 will be closed to all traffic between Wellsford and Warkworth. A detour will be in place between Woodcocks Road, West Coast Road, Kaipara Coast Highway and Port Albert Road.

Those travelling between Auckland and Wellsford are advised to use SH16.
