End of Winter Term Resources

As the end of the winter term approaches and the exam period draws near, there are many resources available to help you academically and beyond. Please know the Carleton community is here to support you. Please use the resources available and reach out to your friends and the Carleton network for support.

 

Important Dates

Tuesday, April 8, 2025: Winter term ends. Last day of full winter, late winter and fall/winter term classes.

Friday, April 11, to Saturday, April 26, 2025: Final examinations in full winter, late winter and fall/winter term courses will be held.

Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 20, 2025: Good Friday and Easter Sunday. University closed.

Friday, April 25, 2025: Summer term payment deadline.

 

Winter Term Exams – What You Should Know

Final examinations run from Friday, April 11, to Saturday, April 26, 2025. The university is closed for Easter holidays on Friday, April 18 and Sunday, April 20, 2025. No exams are scheduled on Friday, April 18 (Good Friday), Saturday, April 19 or Sunday, April 20 (Easter Sunday).

Exams resume as scheduled on Monday, April 21, 2025 (Easter Monday).

The Exam Support Network operates during the final exam period from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to help with any exam related issues, questions or emergencies for online and in-person exams.

It’s Your Vote: Federal Election

The federal election is on Monday, April 28, 2025. There are several ways to vote, including through a program designed for students: Vote on Campus. Carleton is hosting special voting stations in the fourth floor Nideyinàn Galleria from Sunday, April 13 to Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Visit the Elections Canada website for more information on voting in the upcoming federal election.

PASS Your Finals

The term is coming to an end, but first—exams! Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) offers mock exams led by peer facilitators. Mock final sessions begin as early as Monday, April 7, 2025.

For more assistance, you can also join the Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) and a PASS study buddy to work on general exam study tactics and review course material in a supportive, friendly environment. Alternatively, book a personalized one-on-one session with CSAS for help with writing assignments and sharpening your learning strategies before finals.

 

Exam Season is Coming: Get your Campus Card Ready!

Exams are just around the corner! Your campus card is the preferred identification for exams. If you need a replacement, visit the Campus Card Office in 407 Nideyinàn from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, or pre-order one through the online portal.

 

OC Transpo Bus Network Changing

OC Transpo’s new bus network comes into effect on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Use the OC Transpo Travel Planner to check your route schedule and see how your commute may change once the New Ways to Bus network comes into effect.

 

Add Activities to Your Co-Curricular Record

Your Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is official documentation of your involvement in experiential learning opportunities at Carleton. You can use your CCR to support job and graduate school applications. Add your 2024-2025 student leadership, mentorship, extracurricular activities and community service experience to your CCR by Friday, April 25, 2025.

Tips for Tackling Move Out Waste

Are you moving out of an off-campus rental this year? This is a great opportunity for you to reduce your waste and help your community by upcycling unwanted items. Check out these tips to help you on your green moving journey. When to Expect Your Final Grades

Your final grades for the winter and fall/winter terms courses will be posted in Carleton360 once approved by the departmental chair and the associate dean for the faculty.

Instructors generally have 10 calendar days after the date of the final examination to submit final grades. Once submitted, it may take some time for the final grades to be approved by the departmental chair and the dean of the faculty that your course falls under.

To view your final grades, log in to Carleton360 and click "myGrades" from the important links menu.

Parking Permit Fee Structure Update

The cost of parking permits for students, faculty and staff will be increasing as of Thursday, May 1, 2025. To see the new fee structure, please visit the Parking Services website.

This price adjustment better aligns parking permit fees with the cost of a monthly OC Transpo transit pass. Given the high demand for campus parking, the university encourages commuters to consider using public transit whenever possible.

 

Celebrating Convocation with the Class of 2025

Carleton University will celebrate the accomplishments of 2025 graduates with in-person convocation ceremonies from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20, 2025.

Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Class Schedule

It’s almost time to plan your 2025-2026 academic year! The fall/winter class schedule and registration course planning tool will be available in Carleton Central (access by logging into Carleton360) on Monday, May 26, 2025. Registration begins on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 for returning students based on pre-assigned time-tickets. Your exact time-ticket will be available on Carleton Central approximately one week preceding the registration time period.

The Student Registration Assistance team will be available throughout the summer, both in-person and via email and phone, beginning Thursday, May 22, 2025.
