Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident or Family Member,

COVID-19 Visitation Reminder for Residents and Families at Calvary Robina Rise

I would like to provide some additional clarity to residents and families around our recently updated visiting guidelines, in line with Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care.

Calvary’s Position Statement on Visiting in Aged Care, which took effect from 9 February 2022, allows visits for residents in all circumstances, including when a home is experiencing an outbreak and is in lockdown. There are, however, specific requirements to help keep our residents, their visitors and our staff as safe as possible, as outlined below.

Whilst Calvary Robina Rise’s status is still classified as in outbreak in line with Public Health Unit advice, Ocean unit, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 are all currently open to receiving one visitor per resident as per our new Position Statement. Please read the information for visitors below.

Updated information for visitors

  • From 9 February 2022, one visitor per resident will be permitted entry to the home.
  • Visiting hours are from 9.00am – 8.00pm, Monday to Friday, with last entry to the building permitted at 4.30pm. This is to ensure all screening processes can be completed with our day staff.
  • Visitors will be required to complete screening requirements prior to entry and wear appropriate PPE (including surgical mask and shield) whilst visiting. PPE is provided by Calvary. Staff will assist you as appropriate.
  • Please book your visit by emailing kristi.cleland@japara.com.au
  • Visitors will be required to have a rapid antigen test (RAT test) before entering the home. This takes time, and we ask for your patience as we manage this important screening process.

Visitation exceptions may be made for residents receiving end of life care, residents who may be experiencing distress, or where a special care and support role is provided. Please speak with the home manager to discuss arrangements.

Booking your visit with your loved ones

  • Visitors must email kristi.cleland@japara.com.au to book their visit.
  • Visitors are asked to include the following information in their email: requested date and time, name and room number, visitors name with attached proof of vaccination.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Sincerely,

Anne Marie Cassaniti,

General Manager Aged Care
