This Library and Information Week the staff of Waverley Library would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you, all of our wonderful members and supporters. Thank you for attending the programs and events we facilitate, borrowing from the collection, using the public PCs, accessing tons of free online resources such as eBooks and tutoring, or simply just sitting and enjoying the community spaces we have created. We do what we do for, and because of you, and it is a pleasure to serve the Waverley community with awesome and engaging library services.

For this year’s Library and Information week Waverley library will get Weird Do!, celebrating all things Anh Do. Come along for a fun afternoon of quizzes, scavenger hunts, craft and more. This event is suitable for primary school aged children, however the whole family is welcome.

Waverley Library will be hosting Sydney based author Mina Gerges as she reads her children’s book A Jack In The Tooth. There will also be a chance to ask questions about writing the book in addition to activities and a gift to take home.

Author Alexa Moses speaks to middle and upper primary school children about writing a books series, as well as self-management ideas for those who have “fizzy, jumpy brains”, using her Michaela Mason's Worries series as a starting point. Suitable for children aged 8 – 12 years and their families.
