BURNLEY LIVE 2026 - MORE VENUES & ACTS CONFIRMED & HOW TO GET INVOLVED 🎸
Burnley's biggest free music festival, Burnley Live, is back from Friday 1st - Monday 4th May 2026 and lots of new venues and performers have been announced!
Businesses across the town are gearing up to take part in this year’s event, which will feature a packed programme of live music and entertainment over the May bank holiday weekend. Headline acts on the Main Stage on Ormerod Street on Saturday and Sunday include Ian McSherry, The Rude Boyz, Supernova, Marching Bones, On Edge, The Vibe, Skafull and Jeramiah Ferrari.
Burnley's Penny Black Bar has announced it will be kicking off the weekend on Friday night with performances from Sky Valley Mistress, Harris Rafferty, Zoltar and The Voy, while venues including The Big Window, Ellis's, The Royal Dyche, Hatters Bar, The Turf, Off The Record, The Tipsy Fork and Bootleggers will be featuring everything from live music to karaoke and DJ sets across the weekend. Burnley's The Coal Yard will be have lots of acts and performers throughout the weekend with tribute acts, DJs and karaoke on Saturday and Sunday followed by a Family Day on Monday featuring a K-Pop Demon Hunters tribute.
Over at Charter Walk local choir Local Vocals will be returning for a second year at 1pm on Saturday 2nd, alongside pop Up Barn Dancing throughout the day. Charter Walk's Sensory Room will be open from 10am-4pm on Saturday 2nd for those in need of a quiet space during the day.

BUSINESS CRIME REDUCTION PARTNERSHIP AWARENESS WEEK 👮🏻♂️
This week (16 - 22 March) is Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) Awareness Week - a chance to highlight the work being done to support businesses across Burnley.
National BCRP Awareness Week 2026 is a timely reminder that safety is built through cooperation, consistent reporting and shared standards. When the BID, businesses, police, councils and local organisations work together, it becomes far easier to reduce repeat issues and protect the experience for everyone.
The Burnley Business Crime Reduction Partnership is delivered by Burnley BID in partnership with Burnley Borough Council, Lancashire Police and the local business community, helping to create a safer environment for businesses, employees, customers and visitors.
Through the partnership, Burnley businesses have access to several tools that support safety and communication including:
📡 Radio Network - providing instant communication between businesses, police and security teams to share information about incidents or individuals of concern.
📱 DISC Incident Reporting Platform - enabling businesses to report incidents, share intelligence and help build a clearer picture of issues. The system also allows GDPR-compliant information sharing and helps identify repeat offenders who can be banned from member premises.
👮 Burnley BID Wardens - patrolling twelve hours a day, seven days a week, acting as the eyes and ears of the town while providing reassurance to businesses, employees and visitors.
Last month, Sgt Paul Foster from Lancashire Police met with Burnley businesses for an informal and informative discussion about the importance of reporting all types of incidents and the support and action that can be taken as a result.
The message is simple - reporting incidents matters. The more information shared, the better partners can respond, identify patterns and take action to improve safety.
Together, we can help keep Burnley safe, welcoming and thriving for businesses, workers and visitors alike.
BURNLEY COUNCIL AND NWAS UPGRADE 10 DEFIBRILLATORS AND INVITE RESIDENTS TO FREE AWARENESS SESSION
Life-saving defibrillators have been upgraded at Burnley Council buildings and public locations across Burnley in partnership with North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
The briefcase-sized portable devices are now in place at 10 locations, helping to ensure fast access to emergency equipment if someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest.
Members of the public will have the chance to take part in a free drop-in defibrillator awareness session led by NWAS Community First Responder volunteers and NWAS staff. This will take place at Burnley Market on Saturday 28th March 2026 between 12pm–3pm.

VINTAGE & PERFORMANCE CAR SHOW RETURNS: REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN 🚘
Owners of vintage and performance vehicles are being invited to take centre stage as entries have now officially opened for the return of the Burnley Vintage & Performance Car Show this September.
Taking place on Saturday 12th September 2026, the event will once again drive excitement into the heart of Burnley, transforming the town into a showcase of automotive history and high performance. Running from 11am - 4pm, the show will feature dozens of vintage, classic and performance vehicles displayed along St James’s Street and Curzon Street - from iconic classics to modern showstoppers.
PARKS IN THE FRAME IS NOW LIVE 🖼️
The Burnley Parks in the Frame exhibition is now live, with large outdoor photography boards installed across Scott Park, Towneley Park and Thompson Park. The project, led by Burnley Culture Makers, celebrates the town’s creative talent by showcasing photographs and artwork inspired by Burnley’s green spaces.
Local artists and residents responded to a call for submissions earlier this year, sending in a wide range of park photography and artwork - from professional shots to phone photos and personal creative pieces.
Selected images have now been printed and displayed outdoors for visitors to enjoy while exploring the parks, turning these much-loved spaces into open-air galleries celebrating Burnley’s creativity.
ENJOY A FREE EXHIBITION AT GALLERY ONETWOTHREE 👀
If you're interested in doing something FREE this month in Burnley, head to Gallery OneTwoThree on St James's Street which is currently showcasing Earth, Cloth, Brick - a free exhibition showcasing new work by members of Burnley based community art group, Ground Up.
Featuring ceramics, felting, silk painting, banners and mosaic, this inspiring collection celebrates creativity, community and the people who make Burnley special.
The exhibition is free to attend and is available to visit until Saturday 28th March 2026.
Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week from 12pm - 4pm.
ARTISAN STREET FAYRE COMES TO BURNLEY MARKET HALL 🧁
A brand-new artisan shopping experience is coming to Burnley Market Hall as the Artisan Street Fayre arrives on Saturday 21st March 2026.
The event will feature a vibrant marketplace filled with handmade crafts, artisan food, unique gifts and creative small businesses from across the region.
Businesses are encouraged to pop in, support local makers and enjoy a curated mix of stalls featuring handcrafted jewellery, artwork, candles, home décor, textiles, baked goods, sweet treats and speciality produce. It’s a great opportunity to experience something new in the town centre while supporting independent traders and celebrating local creativity.
GET A FREE NHS HEALTH CHECK IN BURNLEY 🩺
If you’re aged 40 - 74, you’re entitled to a FREE NHS Health Check - and a mobile clinic is coming to Burnley on Friday 27th March.
Even if you’re feeling fit and well, once you’re over 40 you may be at increased risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes or dementia. An NHS Health Check can help spot early signs and give you practical advice to reduce your risk and stay healthy for longer.
The mobile clinic will be located outside One Beyond from 10am - 3.30pm. Call 0300 033 6431 to book an appointment or online via the link below.

Burnley Borough Council is hosting a Business Survey and they want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to share what it’s like to be a business in the area. From performance and premises to staffing and support, your response to this survey is really important. The findings will be used to shape how the council support local businesses in the future.
The survey should take around 5 minutes to complete and is being delivered by PS Research, an independent research service, in partnership with Burnley Borough Council.
For each completed survey, £1 will be donated to Down Town (up to £500). Down Town is a vital community hub in Burnley offering support, advice and guidance on budgeting, benefits, employment, housing and more - helping local people get the support they need.
