Student Registration Assistance Team

Need help with registration, building your timetable or navigating Carleton Central? The Student Registration Assistance team is available to help with winter term registration unitl Friday, January 16, 2026. The team offers in-person, email and phone assistance from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

 

Important Dates

Tuesday, January 13, 2026: OSAP deferral deadline.

Friday, January 16, 2026: Last day for registration and course changes (including auditing) in full winter and late winter courses.

 

Coming Up at Co-op and Career Services

Career Services has lots of employer and grad school information sessions coming up in the next few weeks! This includes General Motors of Canada, Senate Page Program, Ciena, med schools, the DESIGN + BUILD Career Expo, a panel on careers in mental health and more. 

The Winter Career & Networking Fair is also approaching on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Registration is now open for this important career-planning event. It’s an opportunity to discover who’s hiring, learn what employers are looking for in new employees and practice your networking skills.

Workshop Day for Women in STEM

Workshop Day is an in-person event for women students in STEM to build career-ready skills for co-op, internships and future careers. The event takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will feature ICONIC Resilience: Rising Strong, an interactive keynote by author and TEDx speaker Tanya Geisler. This keynote is focused on overcoming self-doubt and building confidence in high-pressure STEM environments.

 

Kick off the Winter Term with CUSA Frost Week

Warm up for the winter term with the Carleton University Students’ Association’s (CUSA) Frost Week, running unitl Monday, January 19, 2026! Join fellow Carleton students for a week of free and low-barrier events ranging from relaxing wellness activities to high-energy celebrations.

It's okay to feel anxious, stressed or overwhelmed, especially when global events can create uncertainty. Remember, you’re not alone.

Supporting your mental health and wellness is an important part of navigating these challenges. Carleton students have access to a range of mental health and wellness resources at all times.

Get in the game this term with Carleton Intramurals! With favourites like ice hockey, basketball, dodgeball and volleyball, there’s something for everyone. Discover all the fun that intramural sports have to offer and make the most of this term!

 

Campus to Community

Kick off the winter term by giving back through the Campus to Community program. Join the Student Experience Office in partnership with In From the Cold on Saturday, January 31, 2026, to prepare and distribute warm meals to members of the Ottawa community.

 

Apply to be a Student Orientation Coordinator

The Student Experience Office is hiring Student Orientation Coordinators for 2026! Are you passionate about welcoming Ravens to Carleton University? Students with excellent communication, interpersonal, group process and problem-solving skills are encouraged to apply for this paid position. This position offers part-time hours through the winter term and transitions to full-time hours for the summer. Submit your application by Monday, January 19, 2026 at noon.

 

Deferred Final Examination Schedule

Full and late fall term deferred examinations will be held from Friday, January 23 to Sunday, January 25, 2026, and Friday, January 30 to Sunday, February 1, 2026.

If you missed a final exam in December and have been approved to write a deferred final, please check the schedule carefully for your course number, exam date, time and location.

Academic Continuation Evaluation

After each term in which you complete courses, you’ll be evaluated to help you understand your progress. Once you’ve completed 5.5 credits in your program, you will receive an Academic Continuation Evaluation (ACE), a term-by-term assessment of your status in your degree.

myAudit

myAudit is your tailor-made map to navigating your degree requirements. It records your registration and current academic status. Because the audit is an ever-changing document, it is critical that you review myAudit regularly. Log in to Carleton360 and select “myAudit” from the important links menu. You can also watch helpful how-to videos from the Registrar’s Office for a step-by-step walkthrough of the audit.

 

Are You Planning to Graduate in June?

If you plan to complete your degree by the end of the winter term, you should double-check myAudit after you have registered in all your courses. Your audit should contain the following notation:

ALL REQUIREMENTS MET – IN-PROGRESS COURSES USED

If your audit does not have this notation, please contact an advisor in your department or in the Academic Advising Centre to determine what changes need to be made to meet your requirements. If you are registered in your final courses for your degree and are on track to graduate in June, you must apply to graduate via Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360) by Wednesday, April 1, 2026, for spring (June) graduation.
