Thank you, Every year Chief Executive, Michele Moran takes part in a challenge to raise funds for Health Stars. This year Michele will be celebrating NHS75 by dancing through the decades on Tuesday 4 July. As a complete non-dancer, Michele will be channelling Dolly Parton and dancing continuously from 9 to 5. From swing dancing in the 1940s, to the Macarena in the 90s and Taylor Swift hits in the 2020s. Were you a dancer or dance teacher and want to get involved with the CEO challenge for NHS75? Then please email hnf-tr.communications@nhs.net, thanks! The NHS has teamed up with parkrun UK to host ‘Parkrun for the NHS’ on Saturday 8 July. We would love for you to join our Trust staff at East Park in Hull, and be encouraged to run, walk or volunteer across the 5km route! We’ll be serving post-run refreshments and having a bit of a party to celebrate together after the biggest run in our region. If you think this is for you and you want to support our Trust and the wider NHS, email hnf-tr.communications@nhs.net with your expression of interest, thanks! Governors represent the views of our staff, our members and local people regarding the Trust’s services and plans. This month Public Governor, Ruth Marsden details her wealth of experience and tells us why she wanted to volunteer to help service users. The Emotional Wellbeing Service is being renamed NHS East Riding Talking Therapies as part of a national rebranding exercise that will see all Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services using the same name across the country. If you have any questions, please contact Sheryl Horton, Team Manager: sheryl.horton@nhs.net, 01482 335 451. Thank you. The aim of the walks is to encourage more people to get out and about, taking positive steps to support their general health and wellbeing, meet new people in their area and enjoy the summer weather. Each walk will be approximately 3 – 5km long, following an accessible route, to hopefully encourage a diverse range of people to come along and enjoy the fun. The walks will be held in a safe and supportive environment, with a friendly and approachable team. By being accredited with the National Preceptorship Interim Quality Mark, our Trust has become one of the first nationally to be recognised for the high-quality support we offer to newly Registered Nurses. We are one of the first health and social care organisations to receive this accreditation, with only 16 others being awarded the mark. Well done to everyone involved with the Preceptorship programme for ensuring this accreditation was awarded and for the excellent support you offer to newly registered practitioners.
