Important! Spring 2024 Class Meetings

Each semester there is a REQUIRED class meeting for all pharmacy students (including U1 and U2 Pharmacy/PPEA students). Below are the dates for the meetings. All meetings will be held on UC campus with the exception of U1 which will be held on HH. A google calendar evite will be sent out. Rooms to be determined. Posted by Mr. Dominguez. 1/18

U1 = 3/1 during Common Hour (12:30 to 1:30) On HH.

U2 = 2/23 during Common Hour (12:30-1:30).

P1 = 2/21 12-1 (after class)

P2 = 2/14 10-11am (before class)

P3 = 2/6 PCP Hour (2-3 PM).

 

U1-P4 pharmacy students: Want to stand out for professional opportunities (e.g. jobs, internships, interviews, etc)? Check out the PharmD Career Toolkit in Canvas!

Have you seen the content in the PharmD Career Toolkit, a collaboration between PCP and the Career Center? All current Pharmacy students are enrolled in this resource in Canvas. Look at your Canvas dashboard for the course "Pharmacy Career Toolkit" (you may need to scroll down to the bottom of your course list). It includes a checklist for professional development for each year of the program, resume and CV prep, letters of intent, cover letters, interview prep, career fairs, and more! This is a fantastic resource for any student who wants to be the leading candidate for professional opportunities like jobs, internships, post-graduate training, and more. PCPediatrics Spring GBM

Residency Mock Interviews for P4s

Training Beyond the PharmD (TBPharmD) is conducting virtual mock interviews for P4 students who are interested in pursuing a residency position. A mock interview can help improve your interview skills with guided one-on-one feedback.

Please fill out the google form at the button below if you are interested in a mock residency interview. Mock interviews will be conducted through the end of January. Pharmacy Student Openings at Nemours Children's Health

Ideally, we are looking for 2027 and 2028 graduates. Our internship is all year with an expectation that during the school year interns will work one weekend a month, during summer interns work 3 shifts a week for 5 weeks (this can be nonconsecutive weeks), and in winter break is 2-3 shifts a week. Learners will be exposed to and get experience in pediatric pharmacy practice. They will be trained in non-sterile and sterile pharmacy operations, pharmacy related technology and robotics and patient care projects.

PPA Annual Conference 2024

PPA Is having their Annual Conference on February 2-4, 2024 at The Hilton Harrisburg. If interested Please register at the button below. PPA members receive a discounted rate! The deadline to register is Sunday, January 21, 2024. PPA has a special PPA group room rate at a discounted price. In order to get this rate, you MUST use this reservation link by Wednesday, January 17, 2024. After this date, rooms are based upon availability. It is recommended that you book rooms early and in groups of 3-4 to ease the reimbursement process. While the reservation can be made using a single name and card, please request to split charges among the roommates upon checking in.

The Dean's office has offered to reimburse the registration fee plus $50 for accommodations.  Reach out to Janice with any questions! ( jj20828130@sju.edu)

Excused Absence: Students who wish to attend the conference on Friday, February 2nd MUST obtain an excused absence if classes are missed. Please fill out the absence form ASAP. 1/15

The Giant Pharmacy in Havertown is once again looking for another student to join our team. We are only looking for 1-2 night shifts a week, with Monday being the main one. Almost all our students end up staying with Giant after graduation, so it is a great opportunity for them to get their foot in the door!
