A TOOLKIT FOR DELIVERING FLOURISHING, ATTAINABLE COMMUNITIES
Housing Choice is an anchoring principle for KUA, overlapping the broader goals of our multidisciplinary practice. Accessible to development professionals and anyone interested in creating better communities, our new 2026 Housing Choice Catalog highlights our housing inventory, ranging from 250 SF studios to 12-unit missing middle plexes. This catalog is a cultivated inventory of tested, thoughtful housing designs that serve as building blocks to better neighborhoods. These housing infill options help to support our goal of creating vibrant, inclusive, and attainable neighborhoods by broadening the spectrum of housing choices for everyone.
Designing for Continuity: How Thoughtful Architecture Supports Restoration on the Westside Our recent discussion featured in Westside Future Fund’s newsletter shares how architecture can support restoration without displacement on Atlanta’s Westside by building new homes that respect the neighborhood’s scale, materials, and history. Architecture can either accelerate disruption — or help preserve continuity.
We are grateful for the partnership and the chance to keep learning from the community.
Ground has officially been broken on the Brownsville Pointe project for FCS - Focused Community Strategies. This project will provide 18 residential units and one commercial space, acting as the "book cover" for a beautiful historic community. Located in the heart of Historic South Atlanta, this project is more than just buildings. It’s a new “front door” for the neighborhood. We are transforming a long-term vacant and blighted gas station site into a healthy, vibrant mixed-use development designed with our neighbors in mind.
Thanks to FCS for having KUA be a part of this project. We're excited to see the lasting impact this focal point will have on South Atlanta.
UPCOMING THOUGHT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
ERIC KRONBERG WILL SPEAK ON A VARIETY OF HOUSING TOPICS:
MAY 12- 16, CONGRESS FOR THE NEW URBANISM - OFFICIAL CATALOG LAUNCH
This May, CNU 34 takes place in Northwest Arkansas, a region often described through superlatives: fast-growing, well-funded, unusually collaborative for its size and scale. It is an interconnected system of communities: Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers, and Springdale, as well as their surrounding smaller towns, each with distinct identities but a shared and mutually iterative future.
The 34th Congress for the New Urbanism delivers a truly multi-location event that offers nearly 100 sessions, tours, workshops, and an unparalleled opportunity to explore the fastest-growing region in the country. Ever wondered how to accommodate growth without losing what makes your city special in the first place? Come to CNU34 and learn side-by-side at the only multidisciplinary gathering of urbanists and placemakers.
