This will keep you up informed on what’s happening across the region’s state highways so you can plan ahead.

Take extra care, on what are sure to be busy Southland highways leading into the long Waitangi holiday weekend. Large number of motorcylists will be riding to the Burt Munro Challenge from 4 to 8 February. There will also be extra traffic on the road a few days later travelling to the Waimumu Field days near Gore.

Most highway roadworks are paused for the long Waitangi weekend. However, there may be some traffic management in place to keep road users safe, and to protect road repairs.
