BURNLEY LIVE IS BACK NEXT WEEK - HERE'S YOUR GUIDE TO WHAT'S ON 

Burnley Live returns next week from 1st - 4th May. From headline acts on the main stage on Ormerod Street to dozens of performers in venues across the town, we've pulled together the ultimate guide so you can plan a fun-packed, music-filled Bank Holiday weekend. Don't forget, there's lots of food and drink offers available at participating venues too - find out more below.

 

MAIN STAGE LINE-UP ON ORMEROD STREET

From indie and rock to pop and punk, Burnley Live covers all genres! Head to the main stage on Ormerod Street on Saturday and Sunday for an  incredible line-up of local bands and musicians.

SATURDAY 2ND MAY 

Ian McSherry - solo singer and guitarist

The Rude Boyz -  a shot of ska, reggae and 2Tone classics

Supernova - four-piece rock and indie chart band

Marching Bones - a rock covers band playing classic and modern roc

9pm – Complete Control @ Remedy -playing punk favourites

SUNDAY 3RD MAY

On Edge - playing from pop to rock and rock’n’roll

The Vibe - a four-piece band playing everything from 60s to modern rock

Skafull -  a 7-piece Ska Reggae Band

Jeramiah Ferrari – a four-piece alternative rock and reggae band

9pm – Roadkill Revival @ Penny Black  –playing rock, pop and punk

 

FRIDAY 1ST MAY LINE-UP AND VENUES

Kicking things off at 6pm on Friday 1st May, The Big Window will be welcoming DJ Kori for a night of karaoke, while popular eaterie, Ellis’s, welcomes Hannah Gilmore for live vocals. Over at The Royal Dyche, guests can enjoy a mix of live music and karaoke with Bert Mathewson from 7pm, while Penny Black Bar will also be hosting a night of live performers with Sky Valley Mistress, Harris Rafferty and Zoltar. 

The Little White Horse will be bringing something different to this year’s event with a debut from Nutters’ Cauldron - a fun comedy night hosted by stand-up comic, Lilly Crowholes and over at The Tipsy Fork live music will continue, as female vocalist, Kerrie Louise performs from 8pm.

The Inn on The Wharf will be keeping the energy high with five-piece powerhouse, the Warped Tour Tribute Band from 9pm while BootLeggers round off the evening with Lucy O’Brien performing from 9.30pm, while karaoke fans can take centre stage at The Turf for a lively night of singing.

 

SATURDAY 2ND MAY LINE-UP AND VENUES

On Saturday 2nd May, things get underway from 11am at Burnley Artisan Market as singer, Kerry Sheree performs, while at 1pm,  The Coal Yard opens with Sharleen and at Charter Walk, community choir Local Vocals will be performing  alongside lively pop-up barn dancing sessions throughout the day. 

From 2pm, male vocalist, Baris Firat, will be heading to The Big Window while Sophie Scott will bring vocals to The Tipsy Fork and over at The Coal Yard, event goers can expect crowd-pleasing tribute acts, from Lady Gaga and Elvis to Eminem, Kylie and Miss UV Dance Anthems.

The Swan will be getting in on the action with Feryl Beryl and The Wildcats delivering blues, rock and soul classics, while Hatters Bar will play host to a Bob Dylan tribute by Max Jones. As the evening unfolds, Isabella Withnell will be performing at Ellis’s and Jon Penn will be hitting the mic at The Palazzo. The Inn on The Wharf will be keeping the party atmosphere alive with The Rewinders and BootLeggers will round things off with live trio, Billy and the Biscuit Bros.

For those keen to take centre stage themselves, karaoke will once again be available throughout the day with The Turf, and The Coal Yard. DJs will also be playing a key role in shaping the atmosphere, with sets from DJ Wayne and DJ Nathan at The Tipsy Fork and The Big Window, a DJ set at The White Lion and dancefloor favourites at The Royal Dyche courtesy of Urban Monstah and NeuroSystem.

Providing something a little different for Saturday attendees, The Salon and OneTwoThree on St James’s Street will be offering an eclectic programme of live writers, poets and sound artists, and Off The Record will be hosting all day Vinyl Sessions with Northern Soul, Motown & Ska DJs both on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May.

 

SUNDAY 3RD  & MONDAY 4TH MAY LINE-UP AND VENUES

On Sunday, James Christy performs at The Big Window, and vocalist, Harley takes the stage at Icaro Lounge, while The Landmark will be presenting an acoustic showcase, featuring Nina Salorian, Steve Walton and Sean Toms. 

The Tipsy Fork continues its participation with a performance from Emma Nichols before transitioning into a set from DJ Nathan and The Coal Yard will once again deliver a packed programme of tribute acts, including Cher, Dolly Parton, Meat Loaf and the Electric Neon 80s vs 90s Duo. 

Hatters Bar will be hosting guitarist George Moat and The Inn on The Wharf will welcome The Marching Bones. Burnley Mechanics Theatre will be shining a spotlight on emerging talent with Brick n Beat and The Palazzo will be bringing acoustic vibes with a live performance from James Wilson. 

For those who would like to round-off the evening with a night of nostalgic retro indie, be sure to head to The Loom for an exclusive DJ night, or for a night of dancing, The Royal Dyche will be keeping things high-energy with DJ LP and DJ Keefy. The White Lion will also be hosting a DJ set into the evening and The Turf will be inviting performers to step up during its open mic session.

Bringing Burnley Live to a close, Monday’s line-up will feature a relaxed, family-friendly finale. Mojito’s will be welcoming a sax and guitar performance in the afternoon, while The Coal Yard welcomes families for a special day, featuring a K-Pop Demon Hunters tribute. 

 

FOOD AND DRINK OFFERS THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND 🍔

Alongside a packed entertainment programme, a wide range of local businesses will be offering exclusive food and drink deals throughout the weekend.

Highlights include family-friendly offers such as kids eating for £1 and 10% off food promotions at Banny’s Drive Thru, 2-for-1 iced drinks at Rhode Island Coffee and discounted wraps at Tim Hortons.

Special menus will be available at Aroma Asian Restaurant, there's value night-out packages at Buzz Bingo, alongside special Burnley Live cocktails at The Palazzo.

Bars and restaurants across the town, including Ellis’s and The Little White Horse, will also be running food and drink offers, ensuring there is something to suit every taste and budget across the four days, while The Tipsy Fork will be hosting a £40pp bottomless tapas and drinks over the weekend.

GETTING TO BURNLEY 🚗

Getting to Burnley is easy whether you’re coming by train, bus or car. The town is well served by rail with both Burnley Manchester Road and Burnley Central stations just a short walk from the town centre. Burnley Central Bus Station offers regular local and regional services and if you’re driving, Burnley sits just off the M65 with plenty of town centre car parks including at Charter Walk and Pioneer Place.
