Digital Waste Tracking: Sign Up for User Groups

This article applies to all four administrations

To enhance our Digital Waste Tracking delivery, we are seeking participants for our Technical User Group. The purpose of this group is to ensure user needs are central to the system’s design with a particular focus on collaborative working on developing an API data ingestion option. Typical users who we would like to be part of this include software suppliers in use by the waste sector and other representative waste operators (permitted sites and carriers, including independent carriers that do not operate waste management facilities) using bespoke and commercial off the shelf software[insert list of target/ typical users]

Last year, we conducted a survey to gauge interest in the technical integration aspect of the project. Based on the positive response, we are now excited to extend this opportunity to those interested in supporting Application Programming Interface (API) development.

We invite you to sign up to the user group if you are interested in being involved in the technical group. Please note that signing up does not guarantee your selection for the group as we need to ensure a good cross-section of the industry, but we will involve as many organisations as possible.

We aim to incorporate a diverse range of experiences and insights to ensure the service is developed with users in mind, leveraging their expertise. We also require software companies that supply waste management software to sign up to the panel.

Participants will be selected from the existing user panel with other recruitment activity as necessary to ensure representation across the waste sector including, varying business sizes and across UK nations.
