Hi there,

2021 Canterbury Golf Annual Awards Dinner

Preparations are well underway for the Canterbury Golf Annual Awards Dinner to be held at the Christchurch Golf Club on Friday 20 August.  We look forward to bringing the golfing community together for a celebration after last year’s awards function had to be cancelled due to COVID.

Golf NZ Chief Executive Dean Murphy has just been announced as guest speaker. Dean will tell the story of how Golf NZ led the sector through COVID in 2020 through to 2021, and what he thinks clubs need to do to be sustainable and lock in the gains made in the last 12 months. He will also entertain with some great golf stories and his background leading into working in golf.

As well as the golfer-of-the-year awards, there is also an interview with Canterbury’s leading women golfer Amelia Garvey, a chat with our champion men’s Interprovincial team, and the awarding of two Canterbury Golf Life Memberships. All led throughout the evening by MC Extraordinaire Phil McGoldrick.

If you want to join the celebrations grab a seat through your club!
