See what's going on at BMCC... No images? Click here October 15, 2025 Quarterly Course UpdateBelle Meade has had a solid year, and fall is settling in. If you’ve been out on the course lately, you might’ve spotted a few changes. September barely gave us any rain—just 0.08 inches—so we focused our irrigation on the greens and tees to keep things alive. To get ahead of future dry spells, we’ve actually raised the lowest part of the pond. That way, when we do get rain, we can store more of it for the next dry stretch. Our summer veterans’ program just wrapped up, and it was great having everyone involved. The main project this year was landscaping and adding drainage at “Boone’s Break.” All the supplies came from Site-One Landscaping Supply, who generously donated everything we needed. We’re truly grateful for their support of our veterans and the course. With fall approaching, we’re raising the height on the greens. This helps the turf stay healthy as we head into winter, even if it means the greens are rolling a little slower for now. The goal is solid grass—and better play—next spring. You’ll also notice a change at the back left of the 6th green. We’ve reworked that area to allow for a fairer pin position; before, there just wasn’t enough space. Now, it should be a more reasonable challenge if the hole is cut back there. As always, if you have questions, suggestions, or just want to talk about the course, feel free to stop by.
