International Women's Day

Carleton University is celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on Saturday, March 8, 2025, honouring the amazing contributions and accomplishments of the women in our community.

IWD is an excellent time to reflect on and strive to end gender-based discrimination, both in Ottawa and beyond.

Apply for the International Internship Program

Thinking about opportunities abroad? Don’t miss out on your chance to participate in the International Internship Program! These internships offer the chance to gain real-world work experience, develop international contacts and build your resume, all while earning academic credit. Applications for summer 2025 (in-person and virtual) internships are open until Monday, March 17, 2025.

Spot and Avoid Phishing Emails

Be on the lookout for phishing messages in your email inbox. The Information Technology Services (ITS) team has shared some helpful phishing email warning signs and information on what actions to take when you spot a fraudulent email.

 

Manage Stress and PASS Your Class with How to… From 10 to 2

The Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) is providing specialized How to… From 10 to 2 sessions leading up to the final exam season.

Drop by CSAS in 402 MacOdrum Library on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from noon to 1:00 p.m. or Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to meet with the From Intention to Action (FITA) team for tips and tricks on managing stress during the exam season.

You can also drop by to review course material and practice exam study tactics with a Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) study buddy on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Monday, April 7, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Want to live with other amazing people? Interested in a shorter commute? Applications for summer student residence are now open! Apply by Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

 

Graduation/Spring Convocation

If you will have completed your program requirements in winter 2025, you must apply to graduate in Carleton Central (log into Carleton360 via the Current Students website) by Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Provide Feedback on the Draft Coordinated Accessibility Strategy

After consulting with the Carleton community throughout fall 2024, a draft of the renewed Coordinated Accessibility Strategy is now available. We encourage all members of the Carleton community to review the draft strategy and provide feedback and comments by Friday, March 7, 2025, through the consultation website, through a consultation session or by emailing AccessibilityStrategy@carleton.ca.
