PP547 Critical Care Therapeutics: Free ACLS Certification and IPE Opportunities! Incoming P3 students, we are currently enrolling students in PP547 Critical Care Therapeutics for Fall 2023. This 2 hour elective course, open to all P3 students, will introduce you to management of critically ill patients. As special opportunities, students enrolled in PP547 will complete free American Heart Association ACLS certification (~$300 value, funded by a PCP faculty grant) and two interprofessional critical care emergency simulations. The certification and simulations are interprofessional and hosted with medical and nursing students from the University of Pennsylvania. This course will be especially useful for students interested in further differentiating themselves for their pursuit of residency training with an advanced certification. The University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacy Practice is pleased to offer two Pharmacy Practice electives, “Introduction to Specialty Pharmacy” and “Spanish for Pharmacists."
