Happy New Year! We are looking ahead to 2022 for continued growth and new opportunities. We have a number of exciting initiatives that we are working on and look forward to unveiling them this year. This past fall, we partnered with Green Dot Public Schools on their inaugural mentorship program. We have six employees who have been working with high school students in Los Angeles and Memphis, TN since August. We are thrilled to welcome Alex Busch as our newest board member and to congratulate our employees with 5 and 10+ years of service to PCSD. Warmly, John Sun ![]() School Highlight: Green Dot Public SchoolsGreen Dot Public Schools launched their national mentorship program this year with the ultimate goal to provide one mentor for each of their students. We are proud to be one of their inaugural partners with six PCSD team members supporting students at high schools in Los Angeles and Memphis, Tennessee. The program provides the platform for our staff to build empathy through shared experiences and develop skills through equity training along with offering ongoing guidance and curriculum to support the students. Most recently, we shared our first job experiences with our mentees. "Spooky Buildings! Alex Busch, Board Member Staff UpdatesCongratulations to our staff who have passed major milestones with PCSD. 10+ Years 5 Years Scarlet Sy, CFO Project UpdatesPCSD has had a number of developments in our projects over the last few months. The Bay Area Revolving Facilities Fund provided its latest investment to support Envision Academy for Arts & Technology, a 6-12 grade public charter school, with one of their two campuses in Oakland. Bright Star Schools secured a bond and purchased the property for Valor Academy Middle School in Los Angeles from us. Congratulations! |
