Bayfair roundabout and flyover New Bay Link speed limits to match new infrastructureNZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has set new permanent speed limits for the infrastructure built as part of the SH2 Baypark to Bayfair Link project. These new permanent speed limits are in place on sections of SH2, SH29A, Maunganui Road, the various on- and off-ramps, and a small section of Truman Lane (former SH29A). The temporary speed limits in place as part of the construction of the Bay Link project will be removed once the permanent speed limits take effect. Some temporary traffic management, including speed limits, will be applied if and when needed to close out any remaining works. The new speed limits ensure safety of all road users. NZTA consulted on a proposed speed limit change between 14 November and 12 December 2022. New permament speed limits From Wednesday 23 October 2024 the new permanent speed limits will be:
