Memorial Park Bandshell in Wheaton

Bring a picnic dinner and celebrate the history of Juneteenth.

Walk over to City Hall at 6:45 and hear long-time Wheaton resident, Mrs. Glennette Tilley Turner, make a short presentation to the Wheaton City Council at 7pm.

Sunday School is on summer break!

It will resume on Sunday, August 18th. The children are invited to experience church in the sanctuary. 

The Christian Ed committee has been cleaning out the Sunday School rooms! We have gone through closets, bins, and cupboards. There are many items laid out in Mary's Movie Room if you are interested. If you see something that you need, please take it home. Remaining items will be donated.

The nursery will be closed on Outdoor Worship Sundays.

We need an adult volunteer in the nursery every week.

The Mission Committee is looking for volunteers to help distribute premade “factor meals” at the Pads Interim Housing Center on Saturday, June 22nd, from 4:30 to 6:30pm. If interested, please contact Jeannine Adams for details.

Marian Park is hosting a wellness fair for their residents on Thursday, June 27th, from 11am - 3pm. They are in need of 3 - 5 volunteers to host the table to distribute reusable bags, hand out fresh vegetables from The Barn Owl Nursery, and then help serve Rosati's pizza lunch. Please contact Stu Blake or let the office know if you can help.

The award-winning St. Matthew Shopping Cart Brigade will again be marching in the Wheaton 4th of July Parade! The parade kicks off at 10am. We will collect food and monetary donations for People's Resource Center and the Interfaith Food Pantry.

Alex Johnson will again lead our award-winning team on the day of the parade. This is a great family event, and all are invited to participate.

We need volunteers! Sign up in the narthex and choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities, including pushing shopping carts, collecting donations, or walking with the group along the festive parade path! Contact the office or John Adams for more information. 

If you would like to share your talent this summer, please consider signing up to provide special music during the summer. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex or click here and sign up online!

Starting June 10th, the office will be open Tuesday - Thursday, 10am-1pm, or by appointment. The office staff will be working remotely on Mondays. 

We remain closed on Fridays.

Membership Life has planned a fun night at the ballpark on Thursday, July 11th, at 6:30pm, to watch the Kane County Cougars.

Tickets are $24 each, which includes 1 box seat and $10 in food vouchers. Parking passes and Kids’ Zone options are also available. Registration and ticket purchases are ONLINE ONLY.  If you have any problems completing the registration form, contact the office and Dani will be happy to help you,

We are looking for some friendly folks to volunteer to greet people on Sunday mornings before church. Contact the office if you would like to be a part of welcoming people to worship!

This will be our last "Jesus Has Left the Building" event for a while. Instead of traditional worship, we invite everyone to support the Chicago Pride Parade. An email will go out that week with a worship experience for you to watch on your own time. .

We have a few extra St. Matthew t-shirts available for purchase, sizes M, L, and XL. They are $20 each. Contact the office if you would like one!
