Click here Dear Members of The Hill Family: Head of School Zack Lehman recently informed the Board of Trustees that he wishes to advance the date of his planned departure from the School from June 30, 2023 to December 31, 2022 to pursue a new opportunity. We have granted his request and have appointed Dr. Sylvia Rodríguez Vargas, Hill’s current associate head of school, to serve as interim head through June 30. The search for Hill's 12th Head of School is well underway. Finalists for the position are in the process of visiting campus for meetings and discussions with faculty and staff. The progress that Hill has made during Mr. Lehman’s tenure over nearly 11 years has been transformational, especially during the challenging period of the pandemic. Under his leadership, our campus has been revitalized, we continue to enjoy wonderful engagement with and support from our alumni and parents, and have operated with financial discipline. The Hill’s appeal as a top U.S. boarding school is measured in our record admission and enrollment figures, and we are proud to offer an outstanding educational experience provided by our excellent faculty. Mr. Lehman’s departure also means we say goodbye and thanks to Amy Lehman P’16 ’18 who has served Hill in numerous impactful ways, including leadership coaching and overseeing the Student Philanthropy Council, one of Hill’s signature student programs. Together Mr. and Mrs. Lehman have been exceptional ambassadors for our School around the world and integral to The Hill community’s recent success. Mr. Lehman asked me to share this comment with you: “It has been the privilege of my lifetime to serve as The Hill’s Head of School during the past 11 years. I am proud of what we have accomplished as a team and community and am excited for the future of the School as I depart earlier than expected to pursue another opportunity that I cannot pass up. I express my sincere gratitude to the entire Hill community. I am especially thankful to my colleagues and our students, with whom I have had the honor to work and serve over the last decade.” Please join me in extending our best wishes and sincere gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Lehman and their family. Sincerely, |
