August 2022

Dear Friend of ANDE East and Southeast Asia,

We hope that you are having a wonderful August so far! We are delighted to share our latest newsletter with you packed with new and exciting opportunities.

To start off, we would like to share our highlights from our past events. On the 14th of July 2022, we had the pleasure of hosting the ANDE Asia Talent Webinar which discussed the topic of “The Great Resignation: What does it mean for Small & Growing Businesses in Asia?” We would like to thank Amani Institute’s Country Director Shehzia Lilani, McKinsey & Company’s Director for Social Impact Shriya Sethi, and Impact Hub APAC’s Regional Lead Stephanie Arrowsmith for their insightful contributions. In addition, we co-hosted our Asia Funder Learning Lab alongside ANDE India on the 20th July 2022; where the Rockefeller Foundation shared their Philanthropy Advisors Archetype Toolkit with other funders.

In terms of upcoming events, we are excited to announce that we will be co-hosting a virtual Climate Collaboration Cafe with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Thailand. This is a workshop on “Reusable Packaging as a Service Model: Private-Public Partnership Revolution on Single-Use Plastic Prevention” which will take place on Wednesday 10th August 2022 at 13:00-15:00pm. Please register here or contact Ploy for more information.

Lastly, we are looking to fill two positions on our team at ANDE East and SouthEast Asia in Bangkok, Thailand. The two roles are Program Associate and Programs Intern. If you think that you would be a good fit for the team, we would love to hear from you.

Have a great month!
