We're excited to have these short-term teams this year!
Please use this prayer calendar as the 2023 STM season gets underway!

Boardwalk Chapel: A variety of spots are open, including junior staff, ministry team and full-time staff. Be sure to take a look!

Puerto Rico: Individuals or groups to help with Vacation Bible School at Presbiteriana Sola Escritura (OPC) in Guayama, Puerto Rico. Spanish-speaking is not a requirement.

Neon Reformed OPC gets a new awning and brick, and eventually windows.

Neon Reformed OPC is Getting a Facelift!

From day one, Neon Reformed OPC's building, a former store, has never looked much like a church building, but now, and because of the devastating flood last July, it is well on its way to becoming one of the nicest buildings in town. And, although a building is not what makes a church, the previous exterior was not reflective of the love and warmth of the church body inside. The improvements also add some much needed room to the fellowship area/Sunday school room. The Lord has certainly worked to encourage this small congregation throughout this restoration project.

Destruction in Turkey resulting from earthquakes

Turkey Earthquake Fund Update

We are very grateful to report that to date $155,605.52 has been received to the OPC Disaster Response Turkey Earthquake Fund in response to the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria a few months ago. This week, the Refugee Ministry Subcommittee of the Committee on Diaconal Ministries plans to meet to discuss the most effective avenues through which to send funds to serve the saints in the affected region and assist their ministry to those who are suffering great loss.

David Nakhla reports on his recent trip to Ukraine

Ukraine Report

As most of you know, back in March, just as our Crates for Ukraine winter edition ended, OPC Committee on Diaconal Ministries administrator, David Nakhla, had the privilege of visiting Ukraine. Accompanied by CDM member John Voss, OPC CDM Communications Coordinator Jamie Dean and MTW Country Director Jon Eide, Nakhla made the trip in order to encourage the saints and see first-hand the distribution center for Crates for Ukraine and how the effort is leading the lost to Christ.

Due to the large number of participating OP Churches, to whom we are so thankful, reporting on the trip personally to each congregation is not feasible. In lieu of that, we thought a video recording of David's report to his church, Calvary OPC, Glenside, PA, might be a good way to learn more about the trip.

Please be sure to share the video with your church!

Two New Episodes!

We hope you didn't miss the wonderful May 1, "Fingerprints from the Pews: Crates for Ukraine", episode where OPC CDM Administrator David Nakhla is joined by OPC Communications Coordinator Jamie Dean to look back on a recent trip to Ukraine, where they, as two members of a four-person team, were able to follow the Crates for Ukraine as they arrived in L'viv for distribution.

David and Jamie quickly take you chronologically through the trip, highlighting the beauty of the country, even at war, and the forward-thinkingness of those who minister in Christ's name as they use the Crates program to leave a trail of breadcrumbs back to the church and ultimately to Christ.

And we snuck in a mid-month episode of "Real World Cases: Walk-Ins Part 2". Three seasoned deacons discuss fictitious but realistic cases in an effort to help each other and local deacon to be prepared. Part 1 was one of the most popular episodes of the Reformed Deacon, so don't miss Part 2!
