Public Health in Ghana

Over the past month, a group of MPH students have been conducting research in Ghana led by Connie Currier. Their focus was on water and sanitation, specifically water quality and access as well as refuse disposal. SAB worked with the Adanu organization to raise funds and install a hand-washing station. Students also worked on creating reusable menstrual products to help girls to stay in school. Stay tuned for more on their experience! 

 
 
 

Air Pollution's Impact on Health 

Smoke from the recent Canadian wildfires will likely have greater health effects on people who already experience poor air quality on a daily basis. Vulnerable people like children, the elderly, pregnant women and those living in urban
low-income areas add wildfire smoke on top of their day-to-day exposures. 
Assistant Professor Bob Wahl explains how air pollutants affect our health in the long-term.
