Elizabeth Magill and Provost Beth Winkelstein at the steps of College Hall, followed by a light dinner. West Philly & University City ToursWest Philadelphia and University City: Along with the Penn Campus, your new Penn home includes the West Philadelphia and University City areas! We encourage all first year students to take a tour of one of these areas on Friday, August 26 so that you can get familiar with the surrounding area around campus and your new community! Please make sure to doublecheck your Penn Violence Prevention (PVP) circle time on mynsoschedule.com so that you don't sign up for a tour during that time. We encourage sign ups in advance to ensure enough tour guides but we will welcome first years to join us the day of as well. Event Spotlight: President and Provost’s First-Year Family WelcomeCollege Green | 4pm-4:45pm First-Year families join President M. Elizabeth Magill and Provost Beth Winkelstein for remarks at the steps of College Hall, followed by a light dinner. Daily Rewind - Tuesday 8/23 Today was the second day of specific population move in! President M. Elizabeth Magill welcomed students to campus during her First-Year Move-In College House Visits. Of course, she had some help from our Penn Quaker! Students and their families were able to walk through Houston Hall and learn about many different organizations throughout campus at the Hub@Penn Expo. The shopping trip event took the students to buy necessities for their first year experience. Students played games and had some light refreshments at the Game Night and Mini Carnival. TAP Phase Two is Live!TAP Phase Two is live! You will not be required to complete a quiz during this phase of TAP. However, this content must be reviewed prior to your mandatory in-person PHINS Orientation Group Meet-Ups and NSO programming where attendance will be taken. Failure to attend these small group activities could result in a registration hold being placed on your student record. Dining Café Hours For Wednesday, August 24Dining café hours throughout the week of NSO can be viewed through the Penn Dining website here.
