Behavioral Health Integration for Children and Youth
Early identification and intervention in children and youth behavioral health can prevent lifelong challenges, ensuring a brighter, healthier future. That's why the California Quality Collaborative is launching the Behavioral Health Integration – Children and Youth Collaborative Learning Exchange, a nine-month program bringing together provider organizations experienced in integrating behavioral health services into primary care for this demographic. Participants will share, spread and showcase successful practices, enhancing care through a vibrant network and improving behavioral health outcomes for young patients.

Financing Behavioral Health Integration
Launching in Spring 2024, CQC's Behavioral Health Integration Financing program aims to facilitate the implementation and long-term sustainability of behavioral health integration into primary care by a conducting a state-wide landscape assessment to identify, synthesize and communicate successful practices to ensure sustainable payment of integration in the commercial setting.
This program is part of the CQC Behavioral Health Integration Initiative's work to test and spread collective solutions among payers and providers to reduce administrative burden to integrating care.
Selecting the Right Model for Behavioral Health Integration
The first step in integrating behavioral health into primary care is crucial—selecting the right integration model. Through CQC's CalHIVE Behavioral Health Integration collaborative, provider organizations are guided through this essential process, ensuring the chosen model aligns with specific organizational needs and patient demographics. By facilitating this foundational decision, the collaborative empowers providers to enhance care delivery and improve health outcomes.
