To reflect our expanded focus on the Government’s commitment to transitioning to a circular economy, we continue to enhance our Delivery Roadmap with milestones. As part of this process, we will work closely with other UK Government Departments to include their reforms and strategies, so that we have a unified Circular Economy roadmap to share ensuring a cohesive approach to achieving our vision of a sustainable, resource-efficient economy that benefits both the environment and society.  

The Circular Economy Roadmap will continue to help you familiarise yourselves with the reforms. understand the logic and sequence of the ongoing work and plan and prepare with greater clarity and confidence.  

Changes to note since last update:  

• Addition of Milestone: October – Extended Producer Responsibility: LAs receive notice of assessment for 26/27 payments 
• Milestone Complete: April - Extended Producer Responsibility: RAM Update Published 
• Milestone Complete: April – Deposit Return Scheme: Deposit Management Organisation (DMO) appointed
