Free ACLS Certification and IPE Opportunities - Join PHP547 Critical Care Therapeutics Today!

Incoming P3 students, we are currently enrolling students in PHP547 Critical Care Therapeutics for Fall 2025. This 2-hour elective course, open to all P3 students, will introduce you to management of critically ill patients. As special opportunities, students enrolled in PHP547 will complete free American Heart Association ACLS certification (~$300 value, funded by a PCP faculty grant) and interprofessional critical care emergency simulations. The certification and simulations are interprofessional and hosted with medical and nursing students from the University of Pennsylvania. This course will be especially useful for students interested in further differentiating themselves for their pursuit of residency training with an advanced certification. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible. Look forward to saving lives with you! IPSF's Annual World Conference is open for Phase 3 registration! The World Conference will be held August 7 to August 15, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya! Enroll in a Drug Discovery & Development (DDD) Certificate for FALL 2025!!!

Are you a rising P1 or Rising P2?? Students can now enhance their learning and career by selecting to enroll in a Drug Discovery & Development (DDD) Graduate Certificate which can be obtained with 12 credits of graduate (equivalent of only 4 courses!) offered by the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. With this certificate students interested to join the Pharmaceutical industry will gain advanced expertise in drug discovery & development applied to preclinical and clinical situations. PharmD students can double count 6 credits of the 12 as professional electives. Specifically, students electing to add this certificate to their education will gain a specialized and advanced skillset that include graduate level biopharmaceutics (pre-formulation, formulation and delivery), pharmacology (including cell gene therapy), toxicology, applied medicinal chemistry, neuropharmacology (including pharmacology and toxicology related to drug use disorders), research ethics and data and regulatory issues in Pharma. Required Examsoft Update 4/29

There is an Examsoft update that you will be required to install on 4/29. Please log into your Examplify account on 4/29 and install the update. After the update is complete, I also strongly encourage you to take the mock exam (2024-25 Mock Exam to practice Examplify, password Mock123) to ensure it works properly. Please contact Examsoft support if you encounter any problems. It is your responsibility to ensure your Examplify is updated and working prior to any in-class assessments.

ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge

We are looking for students who would like to represent Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Pharmacy Challenge. This national competition begins in September with online rounds, and if the team progresses, then the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final are held in person during the ACCP Annual Meeting in October in Minneapolis! Travel support would be available. Each school of pharmacy fields a team of 3 students. If you are interested in participating, please complete this interest form by 4/29.
