Summer Registration starts 2/26
If you are assigned an IPPE or need to retake an ESAR course during the summer please see the Registration Assistance Documents. Only add an IPPE if you have been in contact with Professor Thomson. Basic Life Support Courses - March 23, 2024
Dear Students and Faculty/Staff: The CPR Leadership Team at Saint Joseph’s University will be offering Basic Life Support (BLS) courses on Saturday, March 23 (Session 1: 8:00am-11:30am; Session 2: 11:30am-3:00pm; Session 3: 3:00pm-6:00pm) in IPEX 3rd Floor on campus.
The training offered by the CPR Leadership Team at Saint Joseph's University is American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). This course is intended for students and faculty/staff who want to learn life-saving skills, especially those who need to document their completion of the CPR requirement or with certification expiring this semester. The session lasts ~3.5 hours. Please bring a pen - there will be a written exam. Please wear comfortable clothing. Capacity is limited. Basic Life Support certification is valid for 2 years.
Please note that the fee for the on campus CPR Leadership Team offering is significantly less than what you will pay if you take it outside the University community. With our volunteer instructors (CPR Leadership Team), we are able to offer the course for only $30 to cover the costs of certification cards and supplies. If you take this class in the community, prices are typically higher (~$65-95).

Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association: GRASP Event!!!
Do you want to become an effective advocate for the profession of pharmacy and learn more about the legislative process and advancing of pharmacy? Come to PPA's GRASP event on Tuesday, February 27th from 2-3pm at STC 137. GRASP (Government Relations Advocacy for Student Pharmacists) is intended for preparing student pharmacists to become better advocates, communicators and leaders in the profession of pharmacy. The CVS Spanish Scholarship is ideally awarded to student (s) fluent in Spanish and who will be precepting or volunteering some of their time with organizations supporting underserved populations. Institute of Clinical Bioethics - Health Promoter Volunteer Sign Up
The Institute of Clinical Bioethics is looking for Student Volunteers to assist in Monthly Health Promoter events. These events cater to patients within the underserved community, offering clinical station screenings for essential health metrics such as blood pressure, blood glucose, eye care, dental care, and more. They are looking for Pharmacy students, PT/OT students, or anyone wanting to get community hours! There will be a variety of medical residents on-site at these Health Promoter events that you will be able to connect with. This is a great opportunity for all to gain patient exposure! They organize health promoter events at various locations, all targeting a specific patient population: Mexican Consulate, Guatemalan Consulate, St. Cyprian Church, St.
Thomas Aquinas, and Mother of Mercy House.
