Almost there
The project to improve traffic flows and make the intersection of State Highway 1C Cobham Drive and Cambridge Road safer is entering its final stages.
The left turn from Cobham Drive into Cambridge Road will soon reopen, however it’s possible that there may be another brief closure required before the end of the project.
In the final stages of the project, drivers and local residents will notice a number of lane shifts over the next week or so as work continues to build the traffic islands which form the new intersection.
Although the layout of SH1C lanes will change, traffic will remain at one lane in each direction.
We realise that this project has taken longer than expected and is creating ongoing disruption for locals and commuters.
