Better Streets Newsletter No. 24  |  March 2024

Hi ,

Welcome to this month’s jam-packed newsletter! We hope you’ll find a few moments to peruse it and take note of events, activities and calls for submissions, wherever in the country you are. But before all the news, we would like to share an announcement about Better Streets.

Better Streets would like to thank and farewell to our Executive Officer, Monique Ewen. Monique’s unwavering commitment, enthusiasm and contributions have been pivotal to our administration, volunteer engagement, events, and more. We wish her the best in her next ventures. Monique's final day will be 12 March 2024. We will provide more detail about Better Streets operations, board changes and volunteer charter in the coming month.

This month, as the new academic year kicks up a gear, Ride2School - a program that gets students physically active on their trip to school - is happening all over the country on Friday 22 March. This newsletter also includes a link to a recent Better Streets blog post about the benefits of active travel for kids and details on why walking, riding and scooting is important for kids.

There’s also news about activities in Queensland and Victoria, as well as happenings in NSW.
