The Senior's Storytelling Workshop was held at Waverley Library in 2009, and was a way to capture some of the fascinating stories and reminiscences of the area. Covering first hand accounts of significant historical events, these stories touch on moments such as the effect of the influenza pandemic on Waverley in the years following World War I and memories of World War II when the war came close to home at Bondi. You can explore some of these fascinating stories on our website. Image: barbed wire on Bondi Beach, WWII.
