On 4 March 2025, Lutheran Homes Barossa celebrated the grand opening of its new men’s shed. The event brought together residents and retirement village/community members for a day of camaraderie, connection and a sausage sizzle. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, the space has become a place to explore creativity, feel connected and work on community projects.

EVENTS

In 2025, it will be 80 years since Dietrich Bonhoeffer was sent to the gallows. His writings still present many insights into how Christians can live out Jesus’ call to follow him as disciples, both privately and publicly.

You are invited to attend a conference reflecting on Bonhoeffer’s legacy and his faith challenges for all of us today. It will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Adelaide on the weekend of 26 and 27 April, with keynote speakers Rev Dr Mark Worthing and Rev Prof Mark Lindsay. Rev Dr Maurice Schild will preach at the Sunday worship service.

The conference is sponsored by the Bonhoeffer Reading Group of Adelaide, which meets monthly in North Adelaide. To join the Reading Group or attend the conference, contact Pastor Mike Pietsch for further details (0416 738 631 or mikepietsch25@gmail.com).
