Employment informationDigital Jobs for ManufacturingThe Digital Jobs for Manufacturing Program offers grants of up to $5,000 to assist Victorian manufacturing businesses in adapting to a digital operating environment. The program is open to businesses with a manufacturing presence in Victoria that are on a growth trajectory and are seeking to utilise their existing workforce to apply digital technology to their operations. ACCC urges businesses to remove unfair contract terms before law changes.Australian businesses must review and modify unfair terms in their standard contracts by November 9, 2023. The new Australian Consumer Law prohibits unfair contract terms with consumers and other businesses. Courts can penalise entities using such terms. The law will also cover more small business contracts, specifically those with fewer than 100 employees or an annual turnover below $10 million. The contract value threshold will be removed too. Register for the 2023-24 Skilled Visa Nomination ProgramVictoria’s 2023-24 Skilled Visa Nomination Program is now open. The program enhances productivity and competitiveness in local and global supply chains, generates new employment opportunities, and provides training to workers, while also contributing to Victoria's shift towards achieving net zero emissions Made in Victoria: Energy Technologies Manufacturing Program The program will support Victorian manufacturers to make more products or components that support the state’s transition towards net zero emissions by 2045.
