Important project work continues despite halt to ground investigations

In line with the Government’s direction regarding COVID-19, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and the contractors and suppliers working on our behalf are stopping work on all capital projects.

For Te Ahu a Turanga: Manawatū Tararua Highway project, this means we are halting ground investigation works with immediate effect. Demobilisation of works equipment will be completed with the safety of workers and the public as our top priority.

We are pleased to confirm that other important project activities - in areas such as consenting, design, stakeholder engagement and construction methodology - will continue via home working.
