Welcome to your second day of specific population orientation! Below you'll find more information about today's events.
For today’s weather, we’re expecting partly cloudy weather, and a high of 87 degrees.

New Student Orientation Schedule is Live!
The New Student Orientation (NSO) schedule is packed with events that prepare you for your Penn career! Take a peek at some of the many programs that you have to look forward to this week. If you have any questions, be sure to reach out to your Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS) Orientation Leader who will guide you through the week. FGLI Student Shopping Trip
Meet at Sansom Place West | 9:30am-12:00pm
Take a bus to IKEA to buy necessities for your room and pick up some freebies!
Students will need to use the QR code we will provide to check in on their way to be able to use the coupons being provided.
There will be a table at the door where students can check in to get their free shopping bag and gift coupons. Students should NOT leave the first floor – the dorm stuff is only on this level. Upstairs is furniture.

Come to your “one-stop shop” for essential resources and services for all Penn students.
Hub@Penn Family Welcome Picnic
Tent on Penn Commons | 11am-1pm
Enjoy a picnic to welcome Penn students and families.
FGLI Welcome Center
Shleifer Family Penn First Plus Center | 10am-3pm
Meet the FGLI PHINS and members of the Penn First Plus team, pick up orientation materials, and head over to Houston Hall to get introduced to the resources available at the Student Services Expo and Campus Express.
FGLI Hybrid Scavenger Hunt
Dr. Pepper Statue, Penn Commons | 2pm-4pm
Collect a Penn Resource Passport, and get it stamped. Once you’ve collected enough points, return to the Shleifer Family P1P Center and collect an ice cold popsicle or ice cream sandwich as your reward.
Hub@Penn Family Grab & Go Dinner
Tent on Penn Commons | 4pm-6pm
Enjoy a light dinner to welcome Penn students and families.
International x FGLI Student Game Night & Mini Carniva
Penn Commons & Houston Hall: Hall of Flags | 8pm-11pm
A night of snacks and fun mocktails where students will be able to eat, drink, mingle, and play classic games in an exciting atmosphere!

While all new students are invited to take part in NSO from August 24-29, there is also some specific population programming happening this week. Be sure to use the filters on our NSO Events Calendar to find out about events that are specifically curated for you!
Daily Rewind - Monday 8/22
Specific Population first-year students stepped foot on campus!
FGLI students met their undergraduate and peers at the FGLI Welcome Center event.
Students gathered at Penn Commons to enjoy a meal and meet fellow FGLI students and staff from Penn First Plus.
TAP Phase Two is Live!
TAP Phase Two is officially live!
You will not be required to complete a quiz during this phase of TAP. However, this content must be reviewed prior to your mandatory in-person PHINS Orientation Group Meet-Ups and NSO programming where attendance will be taken. Failure to attend these small group activities could result in a registration hold being placed on your student record.
