MORE INFORMATION: Now Accepting Applications: Costa Rica Medical Outreach Opportunity!

During this trip to Costa Rica, you will work with other students and faculty from Saint Joseph's in the Department of Physical Therapy and Pharmacy Practice. We will work collaboratively to screen patients in their homes, treat appropriate patients in community clinics and clinical settings, and provide services in schools for special needs children. There is also time for educational work and exposure to healthcare professions in the country. During your time abroad, you’ll provide client care under the supervision of a licensed faculty member as well as learn about other healthcare professions. You can learn more details regarding cost, general itinerary, and answers to some frequently asked questions at the button below.

This opportunity is scheduled for spring break with travel dates of March 2 through March 10, 2024. As a reminder, while this is a service-learning experience and not offered for credit due to SJU regulations, there will be various options to assist with funding/travel.

Please reach out to Dr. Angela Bingham or Dr. Charrell Lipscomb with any questions. Looking forward to receiving your applications! 12/11
