This month, Western celebrates the Deshkan Ziibiing (Antler/Thames River) with Riverfest 2022. The festival recognizes the historical and cultural significance of the river and aims to engage the community and encourage support for sustainability initiatives.

Gavin Raner is one of 13 students across Canada to receive the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Award recognizing young leaders who exemplify the qualities of Hall of Fame laureates. Raner, who identifies as trans-masculine and non-binary, is inspired by the "quiet bravery" of 2007 inductee and pioneer Dr. Elizabeth Bagshaw.

COVID-19 booster deadline extended following Health Canada announcement
In response to Health Canada’s approval of Moderna’s bivalent vaccine, the deadline to receive a booster shot has been extended to Jan. 9, 2023. Individuals who receive a booster now or the bivalent vaccine when it is available will be compliant with the vaccination policy. Course Readings service
