West Philadelphia & University City ToursVarious locations | 11am Walking tours engage first-years with the gems of Penn’s hometown including Clark Park and Cira Green. Transfer Student Penn's Landing TripMeet at Rodin | 1:30pm-4:30pm Take the new transfers to a tour to nearby thrift stores in West Philly, introducing them to economic fit options in the area. LGBT Center Make Your Own Sand ArtLGBT Center | 3pm-5pm TSO Mentorship Activities FairBodek Lounge, Houston Hall | 6:30pm-8pm If you are a member of a club at Penn, this is an opportunity to plug your club to the new transfers who may want to join. In addition, the room will be divided by major so that new transfers can come to you with major-specific questions. Penn Bookstore SocialPenn Bookstore | 8pm-10pm Welcome to Penn’s comprehensive and comfortable bookstore – a great place to shop and hang out. Enjoy live music and desserts in the 2nd floor cafe. TSO Waffles & Ice Cream Night1920 Commons Pergola (Stommons) | 9pm-11pm Join TSO and the Class Boards for a night filled with waffles, ice cream, and a selection of tasty toppings. NSO SpeakeasyKelly Writers House Garden | 9pm-11pm This open mic night features performances by the incoming class. Bring your poetry, your guitar, or your award winning essay and share your talents with your classmates. Or just come to hang out, listen, and check out the Writers House. Late Night Activities FairCollege Green | 11pm-1am Grab a friend and enjoy games, food, and raffles while meeting student groups. Daily Rewind - Thursday 8/25 Here’s a quick review of events from yesterday! At Highball To Hey Day, students learned about Penn traditions, enjoyed some games, and signed their class banner. With guest comedians, Luke Mones and Mekki Leeper, first-year students had a laugh at Irvine Auditorium. Dining Café Hours For Friday, August 26Dining café hours throughout the week of NSO can be viewed through the Penn Dining website here. Dining swipes on your PennCard can be used at the Dining cafés.
