State of the Raven - September 30 to October 6, 2024

Orange Shirt Day

Today is Orange Shirt Day, held annually on September 30. On this day, people from all over the country are encouraged to reflect on truth and conciliation in Canada. Carleton encourages all members of our community to wear orange, reflect on the impacts of residential and day schools and seek out opportunities towards conciliation—today and beyond.

Visit Carleton Newsroom’s Orange Shirt Day website for stories, events and resources to recognize the experience of survivors of residential and day schools.

Important Dates

Monday, September 30, 2024: Last day to withdraw from full fall term and fall/winter courses with a full fee adjustment (financial withdrawal).

A Safe and Respectful Panda Game

With the annual Panda game this weekend, it is important to keep ourselves and our community safe. By practicing safer substance use and being a good neighbour, Panda can be a fun, safe and respectful celebration of university sport.

This weekend, law enforcement will be present in the community to ensure safe and lawful behaviour with strict enforcement and heavy fines. Don’t invite the police to your party as you cheer on your Ravens, keep the noise/music low, keep gatherings under control and respect property in your neighbourhood.
