Healthway takes the national stage

Carina Tan-Van Baren, Healthway Executive Director, and Shannon Wright, Program Manager for Sport and Racing, recently represented Healthway at the Public Health Association of Australia's Preventive Health Conference in Canberra. Themed ‘Prevention is Political’, the conference brought together public health professionals to discuss the benefits, challenges and opportunities of politics and prevention.

Carina joined a panel with other state health promotion agency leaders, focusing on key priorities and challenges for the year ahead. A highlight of the discussion was the announcement of the WA Government's new Preventative Health portfolio.

Meanwhile, Shannon showcased Healthway's successful sports partnership and healthy venue approaches.
