Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Update for Residents and Families

Dear Resident Family Member,

Latest update: Calvary Cessnock Retirement Community

I am writing to let you know that we are still awaiting the majority of the PCR test results for residents of our Nulkaba households to be returned to us. Given the ongoing demand for community testing, we are unable to confirm a timeframe for when we will receive all results.

As the results come to hand, we will continue to liaise closely with the Hunter New England Public Health Unit regarding the next steps, testing regime and when it might be safe to lift the current restrictions on residents’ movement or re-open the home.

In the meantime, the Nulkaba households at Calvary Cessnock remain closed for general visitation except for end of life and compassionate visits. Please talk with the home manager to make specific arrangements.

Residents are being closely monitored for any symptoms.

Please contact the home if you wish to book a video call with your loved one via our video call service or if you have any concerns.

We anticipate our next update to residents and families will be on Monday, 17 January, unless there are any changes that need to be communicated before then.

Thank you again for your continued understanding at this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Bryan McLoughlinRegional CEO – NSW & QLD
