State Highway 1, Transmission Gully

Please note, that Friday 13th February at night there is a full road closure northbound (9pm - 7am) and southbound (9pm -4:30am) between Paekākāriki and SH58 Pāuatahanui.

Waitangirua SOUTHBOUND

• Waitangirua southbound off-ramp has been closed and reopens at 8pm Saturday 14 February
• Closed for pavement reconstruction works
• Saturday 14 to Monday 16, day and night
• Lane closed southbound for pavement reconstruction works

Waitangirua, NORTHBOUND 

• Waitangirua northbound on-ramp closed day and night from 7am, Thursday 19 and Friday 20 February ongoing
• Closed for pavement reconstruction works
• Saturday 14 to Monday 16 and Thursday 19 and Friday 20, day and night
• Lane closed northbound for pavement reconstruction works

Transmission Gully, Paekākāriki to Linden (full length) 

• Sunday 15 to Thursday 19, 7pm – 5am 
• Various lane closures in the north and southbound lanes for line marking

Speed Limit Change

The Minister of Transport has confirmed the speed limit on SH1 Transmission Gully will increase to 110 km/h from 12:01 am on Monday, 16 February. There will still be temporary speed limits in place in the north and southbound lanes around Waitangirua due to ongoing works.

• Altered lane layout for O2NL

Urban Motorway, between Aotea Quay and Hill Street 

• Tuesday night, 7pm – 5am 
• Southbound lane closure for streetlight pole replacement 

Arras Tunnel CLOSED

• Tuesday night, 9pm – 4:30am 
• Full road closure for tunnel maintenance

Mt Victoria Tunnel CLOSED

• Monday night, 9pm – 4:30am 
• Full road closure for tunnel maintenance

Kilbirnie, between Evans Bay Parade and Kilbirnie Crescent/Hamilton Road Intersection, Road CLOSED

• Sunday during the day, 7:15am – 12:30am 
• Full road closure for Round the Bays

Basin Reserve, between Kent Terrace and Paterson Street Intersection 

• Sunday night, 7pm – 5am 
• Southbound lane closure for gas leak repair

• Stop/go traffic controls in place for O2NL project

Old SH1, Otaki, Mill Road Roundabout

• Stop/go traffic controls in place for revocation project  

Old SH1, Otaki, between Mill Road and Arthur Street

• Saturday to Friday, ongoing day and night
• Altered lane layout for footpath removal
