Click here 24 May 2022 Dear Resident and Family Members, COVID-19 Update for residents & families of Calvary Rye Sands Following our last update to residents and families, I am writing to advise that through the current testing regime conducted on the 22nd of May, nil further residents have tested positive for COVID-19 within the Moonah and Bluebell units, residents are now able to mingle within those units. 1 positive case remains at the home and resides in the Sweet Wattle unit. 2 staff members have also tested positive and are currently in isolation, which brings the total number of positive cases to 5. Testing will be conducted again and we will contact you when these results are received. All COVID Positive residents will need to remain, and continue to be cared for, in their rooms. We understand that it is very difficult for residents to be cared for in their rooms. Please be assured that our team will continue to ensure the holistic care needs of all residents are met. All visitors will need to wear a N95 Mask and Face Shield and receive a negative Rapid Antigen Test prior to entry to the home. Please be assured that our staff have prepared for COVID-19 exposures and outbreaks such as this. Our staff are trained in strict infection control procedures and are focusing all of their attention on the individual care needs of residents. We will update you again as soon as any information becomes available. We know that this will be worrying for you and your loved ones in our care. We want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to continue to look after the health and wellbeing of all our residents while keeping them safe during this difficult time. You can help us by sharing this information with your family and friends Thank you for your continued understanding and patience at this time.
