Western among top global schools for entrepreneurs

Western was named among the top 50 entrepreneurship schools in the world for undergraduate and MBA alumni entrepreneurs in PitchBook’s annual university rankings. This recognition highlights the university's strategic focus on entrepreneurship.

More than 2,000 alumni from around the world joined faculty, staff and students on campus and online for Homecoming celebrations Sept. 26 to 28. The weekend featured more than 30 events, including the Mustangs football game, Student Fan Festival and Alumni Awards dinner.

Study shows wolves still fear humans

Western biology professor Liana Zanette and an international team have shown wolves remain fearful of humans, even in regions where they are legally protected. The findings challenge assumptions that legal protections create “fearless wolves” and instead point to food access as the real driver of conflict.
