Happy Easter from NRB

There is no more significant celebration for the Christian than Easter. We set this special day apart in order to commemorate Jesus’ resurrection, place our hope in His ultimate triumph over sin and death, and center our hearts on Christ as the foundation from which all of life finds its meaning. Even as we step away for a time of refreshment, Easter equips and encourages us to carry the Gospel forward with joy. May this Easter be joyous and uplifting to you and your families!

NRB offices will be closed Friday, April 7, in observance of Good Friday. Our offices will re-open on Monday, April 10.

NRB Special Service Award Winner Testifies Before Congress

On March 28, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon appeared before the House Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee at a hearing titled “Preserving Free Speech and Reining in Big Tech Censorship.” Dillon testified before the subcommittee alongside Stanford University Professor of Health Policy Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, M.D., Ph.D., Michael Shellenberger, Environmental Progress founder and president, and Spencer Overton, George Washington University Law School professor and president of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.

At NRB 2023, Mainstage Forum to Address “Gender Confusion”

“Male and female He created them,” Genesis 1:27 says—and generations agreed. Today, this belief has fallen out of favor as our culture increasingly denies the fundamental truth of Scripture, asserting that our biological sex is only “assigned at birth” and that every person’s “gender identity” must be affirmed — often with body-altering hormone treatments and deforming surgeries.

On May 24, an NRB forum titled "Gender Confusion" will be presented live at the 2023 NRB International Christian Media Convention, bringing together Christian leaders and media voices to discuss the implications of this cultural shift. Panelists will delve into the dangers of denying biological reality and the negative consequences of gender ideology and how it seeks to erode the traditional family structure.

NRB Hosts "Faith and Finances: Insights from Wise Money Managers”

On March 30, Miriam Neff and Valerie Neff Hogan, authors of “Wise Women Managing Money,” joined NRB Director of Public Policy & Communications Noelle Garnier for a live online conversation on applying biblical principles for wise financial stewardship.

The mother-and-daughter duo have made a mission of promoting financial literacy and practical, Biblical solutions for wise money management from a women’s perspective. Miriam is the author of twelve books, a Christian counselor, and a frequent radio commentator. Valerie is a Certified Financial Planner, author, and attorney who helps groups and individuals learn about stewardship and financial freedom. Together, they host the one-minute "Wise Women Managing Money" feature heard on numerous radio outlets. 

In the webinar, Miriam and Valerie answered questions including: How can Christians communicate better about money, wealth, and financial wisdom? How can Christians plan for an uncertain future? Is “generosity to God” the same as financial giving? And how should we navigate the relationship between responsible financial stewardship and faith in God's provision?

NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller attended Freedom’s Journal Institute’s Black Conservative Summit in Chicago, Illinois, and Coral Ridge Ministries’ Kingdom Come Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Liberty University Appoints New Leadership

On March 31, NRB member Liberty University appointed Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Dondi E. Costin, Ph. D., as president, and Pastor Jonathan Falwell, son of the late Jerry Falwell, Sr., founder of Liberty University, as chancellor.
