NRB Welcomes Twenty–One New Members

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NRB) – The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the world’s largest association of Christian communicators, is pleased to announce the addition of twenty–one organizations and individuals as NRB members in the first quarter of 2023.

"Their extensive experience and dedication to excellence in Christian communications and ministry will undoubtedly enrich the NRB community and inspire others to advance the Gospel."

House Energy and Commerce Committee Seeks TikTok Transparency at Hearing

Last week, the House Energy and Commerce committee led by Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers held a full committee hearing titled “TikTok: How Congress Can Safeguard American Data Privacy and Protect Children from Online Harms.” Testifying on TikTok’s privacy and data security practices, impact on children, and relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was TikTok CEO Shou Chew.

The March 23 hearing came amidst rapidly growing concerns about TikTok’s practices and security. TikTok has met with widespread criticism from lawmakers and the public alike, multiple lawsuits, and threats of a ban from the Biden administration. S.686, the RESTRICT Act, was introduced on March 7, providing the legislative basis for significant empowerment of federal government to restrict information and communication technology products deemed a threat to national security.

NRB 2023 Panel to Explore Christian Media Impact Amid Global Challenges

At the 2023 NRB International Christian Media Convention, broadcasters and faith leaders will partake in a panel sharing their insights and firsthand experiences on the role of Christian media in responding to international crises. On Wednesday, May 24, an informative NRB Forum will explore the response of the Church to the challenges of war, natural disasters, and persecution around the world.

For decades, Insight for Living has been a beacon of biblical wisdom and guidance for thousands worldwide. Under the leadership of veteran teaching pastor Chuck Swindoll, the teaching ministry has become a staple resource for those seeking practical life applications of biblical truth.

BGEA Ministers in Nashville

Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), an NRB member, has been ministering to the local community in Nashville, Tennessee, this week. Franklin Graham, President of BGEA and Samaritan’s Purse, tweeted, "Our @BGEA crisis-trained chaplains are in Nashville, TN—where a 28-year-old shooter killed three children and three adults [on March 27]—to minister to this hurting community.”

The NRB family continues to keep the Covenant School students and families and the greater Nashville Christian community in prayer following the tragic shooting and loss of life earlier this week.
